President Bill Clinton Endorses Colleen Hanabusa for Congress

“Hawaii and our nation need a leader like Colleen Hanabusa in Congress to help keep our country on track and to protect the values that we hold dear. I hope the voters of Hawaii First Congressional District will join me in supporting her and sending her to Washington.

“I witnessed first-hand the kind of obstructionism and partisan bullying we can expect if the Republicans gain control of Congress. House Minority Leader John Boehner can’t wait to take up the mantle of Newt Gingrich, and Charles Djou wants to be there to help him stop America’s march to a clean, independent energy future and the millions of jobs that go with it; repeal Wall Street reform and make another crash and bailout more likely; and repeal student loan reform which will raise the coast of student loans and make them harder to repay. America can’t afford to return to the policies that put us in this crisis, and Colleen Hanabusa is the kind of experienced, effective voice that we need to keep moving forward.
