The results are in: I received 70% of your vote in the Primary Election. Now, the hard work begins.
Last night was a big night for us as I was officially selected as the Democratic candidate in the First Congressional District race. Your overwhelming support humbles me, and I will continue to be an unwavering advocate in Washington for you and our cherished Hawai‘i values.
I want to thank everyone who has helped us get to this point with their generous donations, and by volunteering their time to call voters, knock on doors and signwave.
But our work has only begun. We have six short weeks until the General Election, and our opponent and his right wing allies are ready to attack our message and our values.
That’s why I am asking for your help to kick off the General Election today and ensure that we are able to respond to extremist attacks by contributing $50, $100, $200 or your most generous donation.
We must rally together to preserve and protect the best interests of the residents of Hawai‘i, like creating jobs, strengthening our economy, providing the best education for our children, and establishing sound energy practices. Our shared commitment for a better Hawai‘i today and for future generations will lead to success in November.
My campaign continues to gain momentum thanks to you. But we need to maintain that momentum until November 2. And I need your help to do it!
